Judy

This is who I am.

As a poet,
Each comment that I receive
that my poem has touched a heart,
gives me a wonderful feeling of pride
and of humbleness
of the gift God has given to me
to share with others.

As a poet,
I hope to share my deep faith of God,
I hope to share my prayers for peace,
And to give tributes to soldiers and our country,
I hope to inspire love and passion.
To comfort those with unshed tears from broken hearts.
I hope to inspire young mothers against abortions
To help others give words to feelings,
as well as expressing my own inspires me,comforts me ,
and soothes my heart and soul
To be a voice for those who can't speak.

As a writer,

a highlighted moment for me,
was when a young foreign student
emailed me to ask permission to write
a biography about me as a writer,
having to choose a writer that he felt,
was a great poet,
and why.
He had chose a poem I wrote,
Peace Poem.
To me this was a wonderful compliment,
and achievement as a writer, and poet.

As a lyrist,

To hear my lyrics finally become songs.
has been a dream that is beginning to become reality.
Sometime I feel awed, because of the creativity,
and amazed at my own talents and abilities.
Inspiring me to know
there are talents and gifts in each of us,
waiting to be discovered.

As a digital artist

I love to enhance and change effects,
make a picture unique.
Bring passion alive.
Give excitement.
expression and art to photography
Find new ways to create.

Self expression in
Art.photography,creative writing,poetry is to me
release of inner feelings,
therapy for the soul
and a wonderful outlet for my creative energy

As a photographer.

I love to capture the moment.
and the memory.

As a woman,

A moment I'll always remember with a smile,
that time that will always seem very romantic.
was at a family gathering,
when I danced with a cowboy in the rain.

As a mother , and grandmother,great grandmother,
and daughter,

I feel that I succeeded against the odds,
as a single mother.
I have a family that I'm very proud of,
Motivated ,courageous.and always finding laughter.
As a daughter,
I am constantly inspired by my mother,
to forever look for a reason to laugh and smile.
I believe laughter is the secret of a youthful heart.

As a person.

I would hope to leave inspiration to others.
to search for and use talents,.
to always look for doors to open.
for learning experiences and opportunities,
I hope to inspire others
not to dwell on the past
or mistakes,
to learn from them,
and move on.leaving them behind.
I'd like to also leave a reminder,
that problems all have solutions,
and are temporary,
There are rainbows
after the rain.
I have never been knocked
down that I didn't come back up
stronger and better off than I was,
Sometime we get stalled in life,
maybe if at times we aren't knocked down,
we might have a hard time moving forward
to a better future,
Ive always lived with these thoughts,
To have faith,
and believe in things unseen
The Lord will provide
God will not give a person
a cross without helping him
to bare it,
And the most important thought
I live by
Is that I'm in God's hands.
I always have a deep belief
in God and that He accepts and loves me
as I am,an imperfect person.

Spiritual,

I feel God is always with me,
I have a deep feeling of His presence.
I feel God hears and answers prayers,
and has always given me strength,
courage. faith and hope,
in moments of trials,
I don't doubt Him.
because I feel Him.
I have started going to church
on Sunday mornings,
I'm more spiritual than religious.
I believe In Jesus.
and have always felt saved.
I feel as though God understands
that I'm a imperfect person.
I have the perfect love of God.

As a child

I never realized that any family was different from mine,
it was difficult,
but at the time I never realized it.
I do remember my family always knew how to survive hardships.
and love laugh,.and hold together.
I still have that inner child inside,
and perhaps lingers the spirit of the flowerchild of the 60's.

Sexuality

I believe that sex is a beautiful creation from God,
that is meant to be shared,
and experienced and enjoyed,
Love is sometime hard to find,
and society looks down on sexual desire,
when it's only a beautiful part of human nature,
Everyone at times needs
to feel
the human touch.

Patriotic

I love my country
and I love and support our troops,
and have a high regard for those
who have been or is now serving
in the military,
My thank you to all
of the men and women in uniform.

music

I love jazz and blues,oldies,country,rock;
The saxophone has to be the heart and soul of music,

a few of my favorites

Nora Jones'Come away with me.
Shawn Harvey dedicated this song to me'Howdy Judy;
Also love Alan Jackson's Like love Red on the rose
I love Bruce Springsteen's Human Touch
John Wastnidge'Taste of Rain'I wrote the lyrics

Heritage

Recently I have became interested in genology.
I have always heard that I have Irish, and Cherokee,
I now also believe I have English.
I have not been able to trace some of my family history
due to a lack of information.
I think possibly the Cherokee heritage information was lost during
a era when the Cherokee Indians were forced to relocate,
over 4000 died in the journey in which now is referred to as the trail of tears.
I believe that some of my ancestors came from England.

Kisses of the stars.

Around 1982 while Alan Jackson was a up and coming star.
I had gone to a Country and Western night club
with my brother.
I sit at a table alone.
my brother was shooting pool,
The week before I wouldn't pay $10.00 cover charge
to go to see Alan Jackson.
I thought that was too much, haha,
because it was normally $5.00 cover charge,
I regret that,haha
Back to the story,
I saw Alan in his torn jeans,
and thought he was goodlooking
but, someone should take him shopping for pants,
haha,that's his trademark now...
As he walked by about to leave,
He reached down pulled me up,
and did a kiss pushing me backward,
as the stars do in a movie,
A awesome moment.
than he told me he hated he had to
go to Texas,
My brother was totally in shock,
He said you kissed Alan Jackson,
why did you let him go,
haha,
I said,no Alan Jackson kissed me,
but after that kiss,
I hated that he left..
a very awesome sweet moment.

Ted Nugent

I had back stage passes in 1983
to see Ted Nugent
who at that time was a very huge star,
It was a awesome memory,
when he swung down from the top of the
concert building on a rope pulling a large
American Flag,
almost shirtless,
his long hair flying ,
looking like Tarzan.
My son was a teenager back than.
We went back stage,
and others asked him questions,
I wanted a kiss,

He gave me several very long ones, another awesome moment,
My son was like wow,
you kissed Ted Nugent!

Original me

There are no duplicates,
for the eyes to see,
There is only one,
original,
me.

It takes a lifetime,
to become who I am.
It takes smiles and tears,
ups and downs,
I have walked through my share of fears,
I climbed the mountains,
and stood in the fields.
Never are two stars alike,
I have played in the sun,
and danced in the moonlight.

I have had my share of love,
and my share of heartaches,
I have had my triumph's,
and I have made my mistakes.
There are no duplicates.
for the eyes to see.
There is only one,
original
me.

I?m not perfect I have my flaws.
There are times,
I'd like to fast forward or pause.
I'd hold on to love
, and run from heartaches.
Sometime I would drive with fury,
Sometime I'd put on my breaks.

But in life there are no double takes.
There are no duplicates.
for the eyes to see.
There is only one
original
me.

Mode of women
It seems soceity has placed a preceived idea or mode
on what a woman should do and be at certain ages in her life.
At 56 I still feel very youthful,
and inspire to change the mode of women and grandmothers,
and greatgrandmothers.
I am still the same person at 56
as I was at 16.
I want to be thought of as not an age,
but perhaps a ageless woman.
who doesn't let soceity dictate her life,
or make her ashamed of who she is,
a woman that isn't afraid of her feelings.
A woman learning to find acceptance in herself,
of who she really is.
I try to a certain degree to live life
as others would like me to,
but at the same time,
I have learned that this is my life.
I do try to avoid making a decision
that would effect my loved ones lifes,
or cause them heartache,
But at the same time.
I feel that it's time to not only
be a mother,grandmother,etc.
Or who the world preceives I should be,
My family is raised.
Now it's time to be a woman,
It's time for me now.
