Carpe Diem

There are a lot of fools,
That walk away from love,
With foolish games they play,
They don't know,
love doesn't come every day,
But if love can come with burning flames,
on a whim,
Carpe Diem.

There are so many fools,
They take a heart with a touch,
Breaking love's rules,
Leaving the heart to break,
As if love wasn't worth much,
Like a Hollywood film.
Or the thorn on the rose's stem.
They only leave pain.
and a lonely heart in the rain,
There is a piper to pay,
They will wake up one day,
But if love comes with a burning flame.
On a whim,
Carpe Diem.

Imaginary Life

She would swim with the dolphins ,
In the sea,
In her dreams there is nothing she can't do or be,
She only wants to escape reality,
And for awhile she soars free,

Imaginary life,
sometime helps her escape,
The real world that surrounds her.
With her unknown fate,
She would soar the sky,
a butterfly,
A fairy tale princess,
who is saved,
By a knight in shining armor,
Making a cold lonely night seem warmer.
Than the morning comes,
and her dreams fade.
Reality awakens her in the sunrise,
Stealing her away from her imaginary life.
When she was a child,
Fairy tales had a happy ending,
And for awhile,
It was fun pretending,
But she learns to well,
Life is no fairy tale,
Sometime a princss never becomes a queen.
Only if she closes her eyes,
She can live her dream,
in a imaginary life,
Taking her away from reality,
She would swim with the dolphins in the sea.

whispered to deaf ears

Sometime invisible tears,
fall heavy on the heart,
Sometime love is whispered to deaf ears,
Laying quietly in the dark,
Sometime heartache hides,
For you can't always stop love at will,
Sometime love survives,
Even the coldest winter chill,
When the tears stay inside,
Noone can see what you feel.
When you have cried,
Silent tears in the dark,
Sometime love can survive,
A broken heart.
A flame still seems to come alive.
And burns in the winter chill,
For you can't always stop love at will.
Who knows the secrets a heart will hide,
As it cries invisible tears,
Who knows the pain of love inside,
As it whispers quietly to deaf ears.

A Queen

I look at my momma and wonder,
Did she ever dream?
Was there ever more that she desired,
All I know is,
She never seemed to ti
re
When times were dire, And we lived on little means..
I begin to realize.
she was a queen in my daddy's eyes,

We never had much
, in our home,
We stay in touch,
now that daddy's gone
, I watched a poor man rise,
to become a king,
In his eyes,
Momma was a queen

, I look at momma and wonder,
Did she ever dream?
Was there more that she desired,
It wasn't much of a life it seems,
Maybe the pawn shop had her ring,
But daddy held her dream,
Some love never dies,
In a castle a rich man can't buy,
I watched a poor man become a king,
And I begin to realize,
Mamma was a queen in my daddy's eyes,

Somewhere along the way

If you ask either of them,
they can't tell you when,
But somewhere along the way,
While raising the kids every day,
While working nine to five,
Somewhere along the way,
Somewhere along the way,
Love died.

It seemed like they didn't live enough.
Somewhere along the way,
They fell out of love
If you ask either of them,
He will say it was her
She will say it was him.
And the kids will think it was them,
Why does it hurt this way,
So many will have to cry
, Somewhere along the way,
Love died.

Somewhere along the way,
It seemed like they didn't live enough.
Somewhere along the way,
They fell out of love

If you ask either of them,
Their memory has grown so dim,
Of the time love was in their eyes,
For so many years they have lived their lies,
Until they can no longer hide,
Somewhere along the way,
Love died.

Somewhere along the way,
It seemed like they didn't live enough.
Somewhere along the way,
They fell out of love

If you had ask either of them,
How they feel inside,
They would both say,
They are just trying to survive,
Without love,they aren't really alive,
Words can cut the heart deeper than a knife,
It has come time to say goodbye,
Somewhere along the way,
It seemed like they didn't live enough.
Somewhere along the way,
They fell out of love
Somewhere along the way,
Love died.

Two hearts can no longer be satisfied,
So long ago a man loved his bride,
They both can say that they tried,
Life isn't always fair,
And love can steal your pride,
Somewhere along the way,
Love died.

Somewhere along the way,
It seemed like they didn't live enough.
Somewhere along the way,
They fell out of love

There were tears

There were tears,
that made Him a man,
Years of a boy,
learning to stand,
Sometime falling in the wind,
Sometime being saved by a friend,
Who knows how it will all end,
Sometime love disappears,as quickly as sand,
Tears made him a man.
Sweat on his brow,
Some regret now,
As the sun begins to set,
It was all worth it somehow,
If only time will allow,
He'll see the morning rain as it clears,
And hold love's hand,
Through the tears,
he became a man.

With every mistake,
He gambled with fate,
He was dealt a winning hand.
He played the game,
Loved in the flame,
She wept with heartache's pain,
As he whispered in forgiving ears
, A boy grew into a man,
through tears.

A long long time

It's a long time,
in between kisses,
It's a long time,
inbetween embraces,

It's a long time,
From the moonlight,
to the sunrise,
When I face it alone,
When kisses are still in my mind,
so sweet I can taste them,
lingering like love's wine,
When the stars still shine,
But there is no one to share,
the night with,
When love seems like a fairy tale or a myth,
When I reach out to the other side,
just to find I am alone,
The music still plays in my mind,
of a old love song,
But it's been a long long time,
since lips touched mine, It's been a long long time,
Since I felt loved.

A Rose

God knows me as a flower,
That has grown in the rain.
God came in my dark hour,
and took away my pain.

I can't tell you why,
Somewhere past the sky,
My heart knows,
There is a garden that grows ,
a rose.

I believe in my heart,
that we all start,
and we all find pardon.
In God's garden.

He lets me see through His eyes,
The sunrise,
and the bluest skies.

And in the pain I feel,
God hold me close,
And I a reminded,
of the rain
that will grow a rose.

In the rain shower,
I feel God's power,
I know that in that dark hour,

A flower grows.
from angel's tear,
And God's listening ear,
The sky will someday clear.

And in the pain I feel,
God hold me close,
And I a reminded,
of the rain
that will grow a rose.

one time I caught a butterfly.

She is attracted by the flower,
Love has it's own power,
As she spreads her wings to fly,
Somewhere over the sky,
rainbows are painted,
And dreams are made,
Stars are wished on,
And love is in the hands of fate,
It's time to let her go,
So I have to say goodbye,
But one time I caught a butterfly.

She grew her wings,
She wanted her dreams,
Somewhere over the sky,
rainbows are painted.
And dreams are made.
Stars are wished on.
And love is in the hands of fate,

Once she cried on my shoulder,
For a moment I was able to hold her,
Maybe she will come again.
If her wings are caught in love's wind,
It's time to let her go,
So I'll say goodbye,
But one time I caught a butterfly,
